Lights in the Dark

Paintings and drawings for the dark nights by Michael Cook, with a new nativity piece by John Rattigan, pottery by Richard Pearson and stained glass by Juliet Forrest.

A Maze of Hedges
18th April – 10th June 2022
A selection of my more tangly paintings and drawings. Expect animals, birds and figures amongst brambles, nests and hedges.
Natural vessels by Jane Bevan, ceramics by Mary Johnson, stained glass by Juliet Forrest.

All Fools II:
The image of the Fool in the work of four artists
June 20th – 31st August 2022
Michael Cook, Alan Lennon, Brian Shields & Rima Staines
Edinburgh artist Alan Lennon paints melancholy figures, often lost and always full of longing. Cumbrian painter Brian Shields produces imaginative portraits of John Clare, William Blake and other literary figures, full of pathos and poetry. Devon based painter Rima Staines has created a whole, detailed world of folkloric figures, with strong narratives and amazing imagination.There will also be sculptures by Alan Lennon.
