A large painting by Michael Cook hung from the gallery of this outstanding Norman church, providing congregation and visitors with a striking focus for the themes of the Lenten period.
The falling figure (roughly life-size) is based on a carving which appears at the South door of the church, which shows someone being dragged down by a large bag of coins.
