What Are You Looking For?
Church of St Michael with St Mary, Melbourne, Derbyshire
9th – 27th March 2022, open 9am – 5pm daily
Paintings by Michael Cook and stitched textiles by Michelle Holmes. This exhibition will be based around questions from the gospels, inviting the viewer to question who they are seeing in the image, and what the question means to them. It will be designed for the beautiful Norman parish church at Melbourne.

Nest a gathering of artists with connections to Leicestershire and Derbyshire, creating thoughtful, imaginative work which in some way reflects the natural world, and has a sense of the spirit and rhythms of life in this place nestled near to the National Forest, filled with history, stories and wildlife.
Four Hares and a Rainbow
Derby based writer and poet Tina Hook died in 2012, leaving four final poems about her pilgrimage to Orkney. The exhibition will consist of several large scale paintings by Michael Cook based around each poem.
